Welcome to Neith 

Founded in 1903 by Abraham Beverley Walker, Neith: A Magazine of Literature, Science, Art, Philosophy, Jurisprudence, Criticism was a literary and cultural magazine published in Saint John, NB. It ran for five issues from 1903-1904 and is considered the first African-Canadian literary magazine. It's stated purpose was “to set people thinking, to extirpate erroneous ideas, to advance the spirit of freedom, to stir up a feeling of brothership among all men, and to spread Christian civilization throughout Africa."
